#KnowSeeSpeakOut Campaign

GCHA supports the Kent Housing Groups’ #KnowSeeSpeakOut Campaign: Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, October 2024

GCHA, we care deeply about the safety and wellbeing of our residents. As members of the Kent Housing Group, we’re supporting their important #KnowSeeSpeakOut campaign during Domestic Abuse Awareness Month this October. This campaign aims to raise awareness about domestic abuse and provide helpful resources for those affected.

We’ll be sharing key information and practical advice throughout the month to ensure that anyone in our community who might be experiencing domestic abuse knows where to turn for support, whether it’s for yourself, a family member, or a friend.

Domestic abuse can affect anyone, and it’s important that we all learn to recognise the signs and know how to help. Stay connected with us on social media as we share resources that can make a real difference.

Save the Date: 16 Days of Action

5th November – 10th December 2024

From 25th November to 10th December, the Kent and Medway 16 Days of Action: End Domestic Abuse campaign will take place. This is a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about domestic abuse and making sure that more people can get to safety. The campaign starts on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ends on International Human Rights Day.

During the 16 Days, we’ll share a toolkit with useful resources to help you recognise the signs of domestic abuse and know where to turn for help. There will also be live online training webinars that you can join, offering practical advice on how to support those experiencing abuse. More details on how to register will be shared soon.

This is a time for us all to come together and ensure that no one in our community feels alone or helpless. Please save the date and join in—your involvement could help someone in need.
