Construction underway on nine affordable homes in Meopham

Construction has started on GCHA’s nine new affordable homes in Meopham.

The high quality development in Wrotham Road will provide nine three bedroom terraced homes for local people.

The site used to be home to the former unused Meopham Police Office and the new homes will help meet some of the high demand for affordable housing in the area.

The properties will be GCHA’s first in Meopham and are being built in partnership with developers McCulloch Homes.

As the site location is on the edge of a local Conservation Area, Ubique Architects took care to choose materials in the design which reflect the quality and look of buildings in the street, including the adjoining church.

Sustainability is also a key consideration. There will be electric car charging spaces and homes will be powered via more eco-friendly air source heat pumps.

Completion is expected in spring 2022.
